CSC's 2020 ALT Workshop

The workshop focuses on developing 360 degree leadership, Evidence based teaching practices, student mentoring, effective time management, inclusive excellence and proposal writing.

The object of the Academic Leadership Training (ALT) Workshop is to train the next generation of academic leaders by providing them with tools, connections and skills to be successful in advancing the teacher-scholar model among their faculties and colleagues. Academic leaders are research center directors, department heads, college deans, etc. Participants in the workshop are expected to be researchers in the fields of chemistry, physics or astrophysics, broadly defined.
 
The application process for the 2020 ALT Workshop is now open. The $1000 registration fee, discounted from $2300 due to generous sponsorships, covers:
  • Two nights of lodging at a nearby hotel
  • A 360-degree feedback evaluation (a $400 value!)
  • Meals at the workshop
  • Access to facilitators and experienced academic leaders
